Cabergoline, also known as Dostinex, is a dopamine agonist drug used to reduce prolactin levels. It has therapeutic use and is also utilized by athletes supplementing with anabolic steroids that can increase prolactin levels (such as Nandrolone and Trenbolone). Increased prolactin levels can lead to a number of adverse side effects (such as prolactin induced gynecomastia), so Cabergoline can be an invaluable ancillary drug to add to your regimen when running Trenbolone or Deca, especially if using both compounds at the same time. Cabergoline works as a dopamine agonist, inhibiting the secretion of prolactin in the body (by the pituitary’s lactotroph cells) which lowers serum prolactin levels. Clinically it is used to treat Parkinson’s disease, Cushing’s disease, prolactinomas and hyperprolactinemia (elevated levels of prolactin in the blood). Relating to performance enhancement use, Cabergoline is used to mitigate increased prolactin levels that certain anabolic steroids can induce which can lead to gynecomastia, decreased libido and even erectile dysfunction (ED). Nandrolone and Trenbolone are the primary anabolic steroids responsible for unfavorably increasing prolactin levels. “Deca Dick” is the commonly known term relating to Deca induced erectile dysfunction, and it can be reversed and avoided by supplementing with Cabergoline.
